Hi! I'm glad that we matched on Yuletide fandoms. I look forward to reading the story that you write for me. This letter has some prompts that I would be very interested in seeing explored. I hope that you find them interesting! As for my Do Not Wants, they are character death(s), unhappy endings, pregnancy/having children (unless established in canon). Again, thank you for your story!!!

*The Little Mermaid (Movies)
characters: Ariel, Eric, Attina, Melody

*King Triton is stepping down and Princess Attina is ascending to the throne. Ariel and Eric (in mermaid form) attend the coronation and celebration. Ariel reconnects with her father and her sisters.

*Several decades later, Eric has grown old and is getting close to death. Ariel’s mermaid heritage, however, has kept her more youthful and with a longer lifespan. She has to convince him to be turned into a merman and go live in Atlantis with her. He has reservations about leaving behind his kingdom and the human world. Melody has to come to terms with taking over the kingdom left behind by her parents even though she would prefer to join them in the ocean.

*When they get married, Ariel right away doesn’t want Eric to allow fishing in his kingdom anymore. Does Eric agree to this? If yes, how does this affect his people and the economy? If not, how does this affect Ariel and his relationship and the relationship between the humans and the merpeople?

*When Vanessa first shows up, she doesn’t hypnotize Eric, but he does fall in love with her, thinking she is the one who had saved him. How does this fact affect Ariel and Eric’s relationship afterward?

*Cinderella (1950)
characters: Cinderella, Prince Charming, King

*Cinderella and the Prince haven’t had any children yet and it really isn’t bothering them, they are happy with just one another. However, the King is still pushing for grandchildren. I’d like Cinderella and the Prince to perhaps somehow get through to the King how happy they are (even though I do know that having kids at this time and in a royal family would be important - but hey it’s a fairy tale so…) and getting them to feel confident and not bad that they haven’t had, and may not have, any children.

*Cinderella runs away from home and goes to work at the castle as a maid. She still gets her fairy godmother moment and goes to the ball and loses her slipper et al. Later she is found to be the girl the Prince is looking for via the shoe but this time it can’t be hidden that she is a maid (I feel like in the movie the Duke introduced her as something other than a maid). Will the Prince still want to marry her? Will the King still allow it?

*Sleeping Beauty (1959)
characters: Aurora, Phillip, Maleficent

*How does Aurora react to being a princess after spending all her life as a peasant? Does she long to go back to a simple life or does she take to her new role with ease? Or perhaps a bit of both?

*Aurora is able to avoid pricking her finger on the spindle and instead finds out about Prince Phillip's abduction and goes to rescue him. She is the one who has to fight Maleficent.
